Sunrise at Surfside Beach, S.C.Photos and Text by John Myers, Internet Photojournalist
A man and his son showed up while I was shooting, and as the father shared with his young son some of the glories of nature, I was in the right place at the right time for the photo. Again, exposing for the sunrise and reflected light of
the wet beach throws the pair into a dark outline.
The light changes quickly at sunrise, this shot is taken only a few minutes before the previous shot, yet notice the darker shadows and more subdued colors.
This was one of those rare mornings when the magic lighting conditions continued for more than just a minute or two.
Most sunrises or sunsets only last for a moment or two and then the "magic moment" is forever gone. Be ready, or you'll miss the magic.
